Thanks to anime and manga, the Japanese fashion is really successful. Especially among teenagers, the Japanese fashion makes the so-called fashion victims. The Japanese fashion is a true inspiration for them, as it offers a very fresh style, that most Europeans do not know how to approach. The Japanese designers always come up with something new and exciting. In present, the Japanese fashion is like a breath of fresh air and the creations of the designers living in Japan or even outside the country are incredible. The clothes and footwear they create are out of the ordinary and they always bring new elements. For teenagers, being able to wear clothes that resemble those of their favorite characters is very cool. In the United States of America and also in Europe, the Japanese fashion is a really big hit.

Most of the creations available in stores an online are at least inspired by the Japanese fashion, if not even created by Japanese designers. Because they always come up with something new and they are always one step further in comparison to other designers, these designers are very appreciated. Of course, teenagers are not those that buy designer creations, not to mention pret-a-porter, but in stores they can find a lot of imitations and items inspired by the Japanese fashion. Not only the clothing and the footwear created by the Japanese fashion designers is very beautiful, but also the accessories, always new and full of imaginative ideas.

The Japanese fashion is a great inspiration for teenagers. The style is unique and fierce and as the adolescence is the perfect age to try something uncommon, many kids take inspiration from the Japanese fashion. Even if they are not the first hand buyers of the original creations, if they will continue maintaining this style, they will be the buyers of the high-end creations that Japanese designers will sell in the future. The standards are pretty high, but the Japanese fashion may take over the European and American fashion market in a few years, if the present teenagers will be satisfied with the Japanese creations even in the adulthood.

[Facebook] [Twitter]

Japanese fashion has become very popular these days, because of the unique pieces of clothing that the designers promote, inspired by the Japanese culture and history. One of the many styles of Japanese fashion is Harajuku style, which describes the fashion style of the teenagers and young adults who are in the area of the Harajuku train station.

Harajuku style has known a sudden popularity after the American singer Gwen Stefani began to promote this Japanese fashion trend. However, this style has been adopted by the Japanese after World War II, so it has a tradition of more than 60 years. Harajuku style is basically a type of street fashion and it includes many looks and styles. While it is difficult to describe, as it infuses multiple looks and styles, Harajuku style is a very original and extravagant one. It is influenced by many subcultures and it includes different fashion styles: Gothic Lolita, Visual Kei, Ganguro, Kawaii, Cosplay and Ura-Hara.

Gothic Lolita involves mixing and matching gothic, feminine and elegant clothes and the Harajuku girls who adopt this style basically look somewhat like a Victorian doll. Cosplay is adopted by the young adults who love to dress like their favorite anime or manga character. Kawaii literally means ‘cute’, so people who like to dress childish and sweet will definitely be comfortable with this style. Ganguro is another Harajuku style, which refers to the average teenagers, who rebel against the traditional ideas of beauty and it is highly inspired by punk. Visual Kei is a style derived from the metal bands trends, which were very popular in the 80s, so the fans of this trend dress up and paint their faces to look like their idols. Ura-Hara is characteristic for the boys who are interested in hip-hop, graffiti and skaters.

Harajuku style can match the personality of many people and it is very versatile, as it is constantly changing. However, a few ground rules have to be followed when you adopt the Harajuku style. You must always mix and match, you must shop for the most extravagant clothes and for vintage accessories, you must not be afraid of wearing multiple colors at once or to mix different kinds of patterns. The imagination is your limit, and with the Harajuku style you will definitely stand out wherever you go and your clothes will make a statement.

Japanese Fashion in 2011

The beauty of Japanese fashion is that is always unexpected. To try and predict the fashion for next year would be pointless and impossible, because the fashion in Japan usually leads the world trends and is often several years ahead. What I can tell you about Japanese fashion is the inevitable, the old style will be coming back.

In recent years, Japanese fashion has gotten more and more outlandish, to the point where some of it can hardly be considered clothes anymore. The prices have skyrocketed, and the general consensus is that people do not want to wear what is being labeled as modern fashion. Instead of getting more and more risquŽ, what will eventually happen is fashion designers will bring back the vintage looks. Japan has had some of the most beautiful clothes in the past, and there will inevitably be a return to this classical style of large flowing shirts will beautiful designs.

Another reason why this is inevitable is because of how important culture is to the Japanese. Family tradition is stronger in Japan than in any other country, and a lot of that tradition has been captured in the clothes they have worn in the past. Some of these shirts could even be considered artwork. Because of the strong cultural ties to these classical outfits, it’s almost guaranteed that there will be a rise in classical and vintage clothing very soon.

Japanese fashion is rising in popularity and is a global leader in design. The latest fashions include thigh high boots, trendy jackets and coats, and airy frocks. Biug names like Galaxxy, Function Junction, Evisa Janes, and A Bathing Ape have been making waves in the international fashion industry, causing them to excel even beyond top Paris lines. Much of the global fashions come from Tokyo where grand fashion ideas and trends are generated. These designs are often reworked and then sold under a Western label. Much of the fashions seen today may not even come from a Japanese name, but they are inspired by the styles of Japan and make a lasting footprint in the fashion industry.

Much inspiration in Japanese fashion comes from the neighborhood of Hairajuku. It is here that fashion trends are inspired from actual people walking on the streets and are later reworked and designed to reflect high fashion. Designers take notes from the shoppers and those hustling and bustling on the streets and use information from interviews with them to decide which way to take the newest fashions.

There is a twice-yearly Tokyo line that has been named as Japan fashion Week. This is a branch off from New York’s famous fashion week and allows Japanese designers the ability to be showcased on the runway. It is through shows like this that Japanese fashion begins to spread and gain greater popularity and recognition in the global fashion industry, giving it an edge that puts it above the rest.
